I am thrilled to once again be a part of “Grand Format” exhibition in a lovely French town Puissigny this year. Municipality once more done an outstanding organizing job. The event is growing and this year we had 30 artists participating. The variety of stile and level of artistic achievement astounds.
Every year community of Pussigny, France opens their town to the grandiose art show “Grand Format”. Artists from all over France come to paint on 4 meters by 2 meters canvases affixed to the walls of the medieval village. It is an all day exciting event and it is quite a task for an artist to create a large-scale masterpiece in such a short time (only 8hrs) in front of the art savvy crowd. The exhibition is on display in town for the next 3 months so if you have a chance to be in the department of of l’ Indre et Loire in France please stop by and enjoy this beautiful community.
The location of the artists is determined by a draw. I had a chance to be placed at the beginning of the street that allowed me to be one of the “opening acts” and meet a lot of interesting people arriving to the event as well as to promote my solo exhibition the following week at “the bistro”, the improvised summer gallery that showcases artists from l’ Indre et Loire et la Vienne region and beyond. I am looking forward to the opening day.
